Please note that Youth Fit is cancelled for 2016. For more great youth-oriented programming in our UBC community, check out the Outdoor Adventure Club!

We love working with other departments to bring great programs to the UTown@UBC community! UTown@UBC Youth Fit, an initiative offered jointly by Campus + Community Planning, Student Housing and Hospitality Services (SHHS), the UNA, and the UBC School of Kinesiology, is a great example of how working together, we can build community on campus!

UTown@UBC Youth Fit program activities are chosen and planned by youth participants and supported by senior-level students in UBC’s School of Kinesiology. This 6-week program is a fun and interactive opportunity for UTown@UBC youth (13-18 years old) to engage in physical activity in a fun and social setting, while developing leadership and team-building skills.

Activities could include rock climbing, soccer, volleyball, bowling, and lots more! Our Youth Fit participants have even been known to try their hand at sports such as fencing (courtesy of the UBC Fencing Club) and Dragon Boat! For more information on possible activities, check out a previous activity calendar.
